Promotion principles

The Josef Wund Foundation acts according to promotion principles that are in harmony with the will of the founder and the promotion lines. These promotion principles are binding for all supported institutions and persons. A few aspects of the comprehensive promotion principles are listed here in excerpts.

All institutions and persons supported by us must follow our principles of action and meet our standards for quality development and quality assurance. This includes, in particular, that beneficiaries agree to an evaluation for impact control of their project, if necessary, already in advance.
We reserve the right to set geographical funding priorities at locations of special significance to our founder.
To ensure our claim to sustainability and efficiency, we have regional round tables develop project proposals. These will in turn be submitted to the respective foundation bodies for decision.
We ask that you refrain from submitting individual applications to the foundation.
Decisions on the funding of projects are made without regard to origin or worldview.
Support is generally only granted if no other public or private means are available.
Projects are generally not funded with the full project sum.
We are explicitly open to project-related collaborations with other foundations or donors.
The acquisition of vehicles of all kinds is generally not funded.

Note on funding requests

We receive a variety of funding requests. To shape our work in a focused and effective manner, we identify and select projects mostly independently. We cannot therefore consider initiative applications in principle. We ask for understanding that unsolicited submitted funding requests cannot be reviewed and cannot be answered.
